That time of year has arrived…the leaves are changing, the days are getting shorter, holidays are around the corner, and time to take a nut break! Troop 418 has started their annual fundraiser of selling Plantation Peanuts of Wakefield. A truly Virginia tradition they are available in a large 40oz can of salted peanuts for $20 and a 20oz can of yummy chocolate covered peanuts for $18. Plantation Peanuts has been producing the finest hand cooked gourmet Virginia peanuts for 40 years. A family recipe that has been handed down for three generations is used that ensures a delicious product. The sales of the peanuts is used to purchase new troop gear/supplies as well as to fund trips to Wintergreen to snow ski and Conservation Park. Selling opportunities include family, friends and neighbors. Another idea is to ask your church for permission to set up a table after Sunday School and/or the worship service.
